Passing Announcements: Lyman Bell, Jr. 1/1/1937-1/21/06

I am sorry to report that my Uncle Lyman Bell, Jr. has gone to greet the Lord on 1/21/06. He was at a party in Hydeaway Lake near Tyler, TX where they had retired. He was having a great time and dancing the night away when he sat down in a chair and had a massive stroke or heart attack. There were 2 MD's present but he could not be revived.

He had suffered a stroke the year before after undergoing hip replacement surgery, he was left partially blind from that stroke. Judy Bell, his wife who is my mother's sister (Connie O'Docharty) was very strong and learned how to drive again to get him back and forth to the doctor. He is survived by his wife Judy and son Anthony Bell.

He is survived by his wife Judy and son Anthony Bell, sister-in-law Gladys and Bill Cramer who reside in Houston, TX, sister-in-law Connie & Bob O'Docharty and numerous nieces and nephews.

They lived in San Tome in the 1950's and 60's before going to Libya and Iran. He worked for Gulf in Venezuela.

Their address is:
Judy Bell, 237 Fairlawn Dr., Lyndale, TX 75771. telephone: 903-882-7105

Dear Terry,

Thank you very much for letting me know about the passing of Lyman Bell Jr., beautiful way to go, happy and dancing.  The Bells as well as the O'Docharty were close to our family.

On behalf of the Godoy family I send our deepest sympathy to Judy and Anthony, may the happy memories of Lyman carry them through this difficult time.
