Retuned to Virginia in 1989, have owned and operated a bed and breakfast-restored another house, and am in the process of publishing a small volume of poetry, essays and short stories that are mostly memoirs. Sons Michael, Joseph and Bruce are doing well. Michael is a percussionist in Dallas. Joseph works for Bank of America in Sacramento. Bruce is a wildlife biologist-chemist in Seattle. Would love to hear from those of you who recognize my name and have some memories to share. I have contact with Mildred Venetucci regularly and hear news occasionally.

Terry - Dusty Peeble passed away on 6/22/05 in Denton, TX while home on vacation from Bolivia. A memorial service was held in Denton where his son Francisco lives, and as I understand he will be buried in Bolivia where he was retired with his wife Marta. He is survived by his wife, and children Francisco and Carla.

Terry -

It was interesting looking at all the pictures at the reunions.  The only people I truly recognized were Johnny Holland and his sister Priscilla.  I also recognized the Bumpass’, since I saw them about 10 years at my dad’s house.  I was hoping to see a picture of Kathleen Clifton; however, I guess she doesn’t attend them any more.  Maybe next year I can go to Austin to the next reunion.  By the way, we were stationed at Fort Hood, but never realized the reunions were in Austin.  We were there around 83-85.

My brother, Will, is now in Alaska on vacation, & I guess he’s really enjoying himself.  He’s always wanted to go up there & he finally made it.  My sister, Mary, is now a teacher & I guess she’s finally found an occupation she’s enjoys.  Bob & I are going back to see my family in California next year.  This year I’m going to Florida for a week—the 11-15th of July (if everything goes without a hitch).  Bob just heard that Hurricane Daniel may interrupt our plans.  My husband is scheduled to help train some VA employees in Tampa.  Then, in August we’re going to visit my in-laws in Maine.  I can always count on having a nice relaxing time with them.  I’m also looking forward to chowing down on some lobster.

Take care & write soon, Martha Munn (Morton)
